Welcome to the home of the Contented Creator

Hi – I’m Tash Maguire, the creative mind behind The Contented Creator, a Yass-based business founded in 2018.

My journey began with a passion for creating tourism-related copy and content, driven by fifteen years of experience in tourism-related roles, and fueled by a love for exploring new places, visiting off the beaten track locations, and discovering hidden hangouts, serving up wholesome, locally-sourced food.

One of my specialties at The Contented Creator, is crafting copy for destination guides, itineraries, trails, and tourism websites. I’ve had the privilege of writing content for various NSW destination guides including the Walgett, Lightning Ridge Visitor Guide 2023 and the 2021 Yass Valley Destination Guide. Additionally, I enjoyed creating content for the five Southern Tablelands Trails, featured on the NSW Government’s consumer-facing tourism website, visitnsw.com.

As a results-driven and creative individual, I am passionate about fostering economic growth and community development, particularly within regional areas. Another passion lies in developing strategic frameworks (nerd-alert), striving to balance high-level vision with stakeholder insights to create practical, actionable plans. Lock me in a room with data and a good creative Spotify playlist and you won’t see me for days!

My experience as a Policy & Research Officer with Regional Development Australia Southern NSW & ACT and as Communication Manager for Destination Southern NSW has further enhanced my skills in strategic planning and analysis, communication, stakeholder engagement, project management, and data-driven decision-making. 

Working with SmartyGrants, which included designing bespoke grant administration solutions, provided me with a unique perspective as both a grant applicant and an administrator. I now enjoy using these skills when working with businesses, not-for-profit organisations, and government bodies to develop compelling grant applications. I take great satisfaction when a client secures funding for projects that contribute to the economic growth and social well-being within their communities.
